In the sweltering depths of the misty marsh, it lay there. Waiting.
The eye was as green as the grass in a garden on a summer day, but much more deadly. It was speckled with gold, like the brightest stars shimmering in the sky at night, but much more deadly.
As if in a peaceful slumber, the creature stretched itself out, scales covering its body from snout to tail. It lay there waiting...
...for its prey. It's eye visible but His long shimmering back and tail was hidden beneath the long tangled seaweed, and the murky black water. The darkness was getting even darker. The only light was the velvet moon hiding behind the overcast clouds. The shadow from the deadly creature was moving away, hiding from sight as its prey returned.
The prey was happily munching on some grass not knowing what was coming next. The deadly creature moved slowly towards the bank, carefully to not make a sound. The water was getting shallow as the creature was getting ready to pounce on the innocent creature on the bank. It tensed its muscles and launched out of the water.
The Antelope heard the splash of water and realized that it was being hunted. It quickly run away from the deadly
crocodile and out of the clearing. The crocodile slid back into the water…but he had another plan.
